The
Legal Lowdown
There
are some important things you should
know before selling to us on Seller Financing. Don’t worry, we will go
over all
of this carefully when working with you and have our lawyer help us
with
drafting all necessary documents.
Title and the mortgage stay in your name
until our Seller Financing Agreement is up. Having the mortgage in your
name
may or may not affect your ability to qualify for another mortgage
should you
need one where you’re moving to. We will work together to make sure all
your
needs are met, who knows, you may even choose to buy your next home
from us!
We use an Agreement for
Sale (AFS) for this
transaction, which is basically like a mortgage document between our two parties. Because of its
complexity, we need a lawyer
to help us out…like we said; we use very creative strategies to help
you out in
any way possible!
